New Book Out
My latest book is titled Six of One, Half Dozen of Another and subtitled (Stories & Poems + 1). It contains work that I’ve done over a 50-year span of time, with an afterword on the origin of each work. Check it out

An avid lifelong reader, one who wanted to become a writer, I was always glad to see authors comment on both their writing and the particular work in which the comments sometimes appeared. W. Somerset Maugham, the great English writer (and superb storyteller), wrote often about the craft of writing, and I’m glad to see that Stephen King does it, too. For others interested in such shop talk, I recommend Writers at Work, several volumes of Q&A interviews with the best writers of, oh, the past 100 years. They are interviews that appeared over the years in The Paris Review. Just about any main library will have them. They offer excellent advice to aspiring writers. Veteran writers, too.
Please don’t confuse Six of One with my latest novel, A Majority of One. The later is available in print at http://bit.ly/o9117x and for ebooks (of any kind) at http://bit.ly/vwtAaj.
Now a request: I like to read stories in all kinds of genres, but my principal interest far and away is the literary novel. If you know of some such group online, or if you run across one in your cyberland travels, please give me a heads-up.
